Clear Creek Campground is located along the Mountain Loop Highway in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, approximately 3.5 miles south of Darrington, Washington. The campground sits beneath a towering canopy of fir trees near the Sauk River, providing a peaceful setting for small groups and families. The 12 standard sites each feature picnic tables, tent pads, and campfire rings, with vault toilets available on-site. Visitors can access the Sauk River directly from the campground for fishing and scenic enjoyment. From July through August, the area displays an outstanding show of wildflowers including paintbrush, phlox, tiger lilies, aster, columbine, and lupine. The nearby Frog Lake Trail climbs steadily for about a mile to a 1.5-acre lake, while the Old Sauk Trail winds along the river banks offering pleasant hiking among wildlife and waterfowl. This is a primitive campground with no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The maximum vehicle length is 40 feet. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov.
