This primitive campground features just 6 first-come, first-served campsites nestled along Clear Creek, offering a peaceful retreat for campers seeking a quiet, natural setting away from crowded facilities. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic tables and fire rings at each site, along with a vault toilet. One site can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet in length. There is no potable water available on-site, so visitors must bring their own water or be prepared to treat or filter water from nearby Clear Creek. The campground operates year-round with no fees, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious campers. Access to Clear Creek Campground requires driving 2 miles off State Route 3 on an access road, contributing to its remote character. The area offers opportunities for fishing in Clear Creek and hunting in season. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash of 6 feet or shorter. Directions

From Weaverville, take State Route 3 north for 34 miles. Turn right on East Side Road crossing over the bridge. Stay on East Side Road for 13 miles to the junction with Clear Creek Campground access. Turn left, continue for 2 miles to the campground.
