About
Clear Creek Campground is a small, remote facility tucked away in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, about 25 miles north of Weaverville and 8 miles south of Trinity Center. With only 6 campsites, this free campground offers a quiet, rustic camping experience along Clear Creek. One site can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet. The campground provides basic amenities including a vault toilet, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings. There is no potable water available; campers must bring their own water supply or filter/treat water from nearby sources. This is a pack-it-out facility with no trash service. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a 6-foot or shorter leash. The area offers fishing opportunities in the nearby creek and serves as a base for exploring the surrounding national forest. Access is via Highway 3 north from Weaverville, then County Road 106 (East Side Road) for 13 miles before turning toward the campground.
Directions
From Weaverville, take Highway 3 north for 34 miles. Turn right on East Side Road, crossing over the bridge. Stay on East Side Road for 13 miles to the junction with Clear Creek Campground access. Turn left and continue for 2 miles to the campground.
