About
Chief Logan State Park Campground sits within one of the most visited facilities in the West Virginia State Parks System, a 4,000-acre recreational area in the southern coalfields region. The campground features 26 units: 14 with full water, sewer, and electric hookups, and 12 with electric and water only. Each site includes a fire ring and full-size metal trash can. Hot showers are available at the centrally located bathhouse. The park offers extensive recreation including 18 miles of hiking and biking trails of varying difficulty, fishing, and swimming. An outdoor pool with waterslide operates daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The campground's proximity to the Hatfield-McCoy ATV trail system makes it a popular base for off-road enthusiasts.
