Brushkana Creek Campground sits at milepost 104.5 on the Denali Highway, offering one of only two developed camping options along this remote 135-mile gravel corridor between Paxson and Cantwell. The campground features 22 sites spread across three loops of compacted gravel, each equipped with a fire ring with grill attachment and picnic table. Bear-proof food lockers and trash receptacles are provided throughout. Facilities include three double vault toilets (one per loop), a hand pump providing potable water, and a day-use picnic shelter. The campground has interpretive panels and trail access for exploring the surrounding landscape. The Denali Highway corridor offers exceptional wildlife viewing and photography opportunities with sweeping views of the Alaska Range. The campground operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with exact dates weather-dependent. Winter road closure makes the site accessible only by foot, dog sled, or snowmachine. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. The compacted gravel surfaces and accessible vault toilets make most sites suitable for visitors with mobility devices.
