About
Bolsillo Campground is a small, lightly-used primitive campground located along Kaiser Pass Road near the High Sierra Ranger Station in Sierra National Forest. With only 3 first-come, first-served campsites, it offers a quieter alternative to the busier campgrounds around Huntington Lake. Bosillo Creek runs adjacent to the campground, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The Corbett Lake Trail begins at the end of the campground, making it a convenient base for hikers heading into the high Sierra backcountry. Basic amenities include vault toilets and potable water available from a hand pump. This is bear country, so proper food storage is required. There is no cell phone service at this location, and the nearest services are approximately one hour away at Huntington Lake. Kaiser Pass Road is narrow and winding with steep grades, making it unsuitable for large RVs or motorhomes. The campground is free with no fees required, and camping is limited to 6 people per site.
Directions
Take Hwy 168 east from Clovis to Shaver Lake. Continue through Shaver Lake to Huntington Lake. At the east end of Huntington Lake, turn right onto Kaiser Pass Road at Eastwood Visitor Center. Travel 15 miles northeast on Kaiser Pass Road to Bolsillo Campground.
