About

Bernice Area at Grand Lake State Park occupies 88 acres on the northwestern corner of Grand Lake in northeastern Oklahoma, near the town of Bernice. The campground provides 33 semi-improved RV sites featuring 50 amp electric and water hookups on level concrete pads, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and BBQ grill with lighting on the power pedestals. Primitive tent camping is also available throughout the park. The park is renowned as the Crappie Capital of the World, offering excellent fishing for crappie, largemouth bass, white bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. Two boat ramps provide lake access. Beyond fishing, visitors enjoy a swimming beach, nature center (open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 4 PM), two playgrounds, and a mile-long paved walking and jogging path that is handicap accessible. The path winds along the shoreline past a wildlife feeding area to two wildlife viewing towers. Two comfort stations with hot showers are located on either side of the park, and a centrally located dump station serves RV campers. Online reservations are required for all campsites through TravelOK.com.
