About
Baxter Campground occupies a spacious, sunny location on the White River Arm of Table Rock Lake, surrounded by oak and hickory forests in the Ozark Mountains. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the campground features 54 sites with 49 offering water and 30-amp electric hookups. Facilities include hot showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and a dump station. The campground provides direct access to Table Rock Lake's 779 miles of shoreline. A swim beach, boat ramp, and playground are on-site, while the adjacent Baxter Marina offers fuel, fishing licenses, and boat rentals. The lake is acclaimed for exceptional bass fishing alongside crappie, catfish, and bluegill. Hiking and mountain biking opportunities abound in the nearby Mark Twain National Forest. The Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Dam offers educational exhibits on the area's natural and cultural history. Branson is 23 miles away for supplies and additional attractions.
