Horseshoe Springs Campground sits in a grove of mature oaks on the Santa Lucia Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest. With only three campsites, it offers genuine solitude for those seeking a quiet camping experience away from crowds. The campground is popular with OHV riders exploring nearby trails like Horseshoe Springs Spur, Buckhorn Ridge, and Bear Canyon Loop. Facilities are basic but functional: each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and there is one vault toilet serving the campground. No potable water is available, so campers must bring all the water they need. The Adventure Pass (or Interagency Pass) is required. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the maximum stay is 14 days. Access is via Highway 166 to Sierra Madre Road, then Miranda Pines Road to Forest Road 11N04. The road is unpaved and may be impassable during wet conditions.
