About

Paradise Spring Campground offers a quiet, primitive camping experience in the Rockfront OHV Area of Los Padres National Forest. With only two campsites tucked among oak trees, this secluded spot provides solitude for campers seeking access to the surrounding off-highway vehicle trail network. The campground sits at approximately 1,600 feet elevation in the rugged terrain of San Luis Obispo County. Facilities are minimal but functional: each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with grill for cooking. A single vault toilet serves the campground. There is no potable water available, so visitors must bring an adequate supply. Trash service is not provided; pack out everything you pack in. Access requires a high-clearance vehicle via the Paradise OHV Trail, and all OHVs must display California red or green sticker registration with a working spark arrestor as required by state law. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis year-round with no fees and no reservations. Stays are limited to 14 consecutive days. Dogs are permitted but must remain on a leash no longer than six feet or under direct physical control at all times.
