* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Lake and St. Louis Counties. * WHEN...Until 345 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1158 AM CDT Saturday, Minor flooding is already occurring and will continue. Additional rainfall amounts of three quarters to one and one half inches are forecast over the area from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Oyster River, Ge-be-on-e-quet Creek, Horse River, Shohola Creek, Hustler River, Moose River, Jeanette Creek, Wolfpack Creek, Nugget Creek, Heritage Creek, Portage River, Range Line Creek and Legend Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY... .The combination of low relative humidity (20 to 25 percent), breezy northwest winds, and dry fuels will lead to another day of critical fire weather conditions across central Minnesota. Minimum RH values possibly as low as 15-20% if mixing is maximized this afternoon. Wind speeds will be borderline with sustained speed 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 to 30 mph. The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a Red Flag Warning. * AFFECTED AREA...Portions of central, east central, and west central Minnesota. * TIMING...Until 9 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts 25 to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Around 20 to 25 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Dry conditions and gusty winds will lead to near-critical fire weather conditions Saturday. West winds in the morning will turn northwesterly behind a cold front. Sustained winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent are also expected. Together, these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning.
