THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILL ALLOW TORNADO WATCH 303 TO EXPIRE AT 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS ALLOWS TO EXPIRE 6 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS ANDERSON COFFEY FRANKLIN LYON MORRIS OSAGE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BURLINGAME, BURLINGTON, CARBONDALE, COUNCIL GROVE, EMPORIA, GARNETT, LEBO, LYNDON, OSAGE CITY, OTTAWA, AND OVERBROOK.
Flood Advisory issued June 10 at 10:37PM CDT until June 11 at 1:45AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the following county, Lyon. * WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1037 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Emporia, Americus and Neosho Rapids. - This includes the following highways... Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 120 and 135. Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 143.
