About

Sycamore Campground occupies a scenic setting along West Turkey Creek in the Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona. At 6,200 ft elevation, the campground straddles a perennial stream that tumbles through a series of small waterfalls and a rocky cleft before passing through camp. Spring and summer bring wildflowers to the creek corridor, and Sycamore Falls is a short walk upstream from camp. The campground offers eight primitive sites on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site has a picnic table, and vault toilets are provided. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. No hookups are available, and trailers are limited to 16 feet or less due to the narrow mountain road. This is designated black bear country. All food must be stored in bear-proof containers or locked in vehicles with windows fully closed. Pack and saddle stock are prohibited. Sites are limited to 2 vehicles and 10 people, with a 14-day stay limit per 60-day period. Cash or check required for the $15/night fee.
