About
With almost 600 acres to explore and easy access to the Missouri River's Lake Francis Case for great fishing, Pease Creek Recreation Area is a popular day use and camping park. The wooded terrain provides shaded campsites and hiking opportunities on the bluffs above Lake Francis Case, a reservoir behind Fort Randall Dam. It offers a secure and time-saving way to plan your vacation at Pease Creek Recreation Area. Select an electrical site or a non-electrical horse camp site. Campers will find comfort stations with showers and flush toilets, drinking water and picnic shelter. Fisherman should pack their gear to reel in walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie and catfish. A boat ramp, fish-cleaning station and fishing dock are there to help anglers find and prepare their catch. The Pease Creek Multi-Use Trail is open for hikers, equestrians, bikers, cross-country skiers and those on snowshoes. The three-mile route is moderate to difficult, consisting of gentle rolling hills and several steep grades. To discover more of the terrain of South Dakota, visit the North Point Recreation Area, North Wheeler Recreation Area and Randall Creek Recreation Area.
