About

Paradise Campground is nestled in a shady oak woodland at approximately 1,000 feet elevation in the Santa Ynez Mountains, about 18 miles from Santa Barbara and the Pacific coast. The developed campground features 14 sites split between single-family (6 person capacity) and double-family (12 person capacity) options, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and pedestal grill. Parking spurs are paved and accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. The campground provides direct access to the Santa Ynez River through a pedestrian tunnel beneath Paradise Road, and the White Rock Day-Use Area sits less than half a mile away. Hikers can access the 2.5-mile Aliso National Recreation Trail loop and the 18-mile Santa Cruz Trail from nearby trailheads. Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, about 10 miles northwest, offers boating, kayaking, and fishing for stocked trout, carp, and bass. Amenities include flush toilets and drinking water, though utility hookups are not provided. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. The nearest RV dump station is at Cachuma Lake, approximately 11 miles away.

Directions

From Santa Barbara, take Highway 154 north for approximately 9 miles to Paradise Road. Turn right onto Paradise Road and continue to the campground at 3505 Paradise Road.
