About
Maryhill State Park occupies 99 acres along the Columbia River near the town of Goldendale in Klickitat County, Washington. The park's location in the rain shadow of the Cascades provides a drier, sunnier climate than much of western Washington, making it a popular destination for water recreation. The park features 4,700 feet of Columbia River shoreline with two boat launches and a 216-foot dock for boat handling.
The campground offers a range of site types from primitive walk-in sites to full hookup RV sites with electric and sewer connections. Standard and utility sites can accommodate RVs up to 60 feet, though availability for longer rigs is limited. Facilities include modern restrooms with showers, drinking water, fire pits with firewood available, picnic tables, and a dump station. The park also has reservable picnic shelters near the swim beach.
Maryhill is popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers who take advantage of the Columbia River Gorge winds. The park offers swimming, fishing, and boating. Nearby attractions include the Maryhill Museum of Art and the Stonehenge Memorial. The BNSF railroad runs adjacent to the park, with approximately 24 trains passing daily, adding to the park's character.
Directions
From Goldendale, take US Highway 97 south for 12 miles to the park entrance on the left, just before the highway crosses the Columbia River into Oregon.
