Closed — Closed for the winter season with limited facilities. Reservable camping with full staffing and facilities operates from late May through early October. Primitive self-service camping is available during the off-season from mid-October through mid-May.

Located centrally in Franconia Notch State Park, Lafayette Place Campground serves as the primary camping and hiking hub for exploring the White Mountains region. The campground features 97 wooded tent sites, with 88 available by reservation, 7 for first-come first-served campers, and 1 designated for youth group reservations. Each site is nestled in the woods and includes a picnic table and fireplace. The campground provides convenient access to numerous hiking trails, including routes to Lonesome Lake and other Franconia Ridge destinations. Visitors can enjoy biking along the Franconia Recreational Trail, swimming and boat rentals at nearby Echo Lake, and attractions throughout the park. A lodge houses a registration desk and camp store offering camping supplies, firewood, charcoal, ice, and snacks. Coin-operated showers are available for campers. During the full-service season, information about hiking trails, safety, and the park's natural and cultural history is available at a cabin near the campground entrance. The campground operates year-round, with reservations and full facilities available from late May through early October. Off-season camping is available with self-service check-in, limited staffing, and no facilities from mid-October through mid-May.

Lafayette Place Campground is located in Franconia Notch State Park, accessible directly from I-93 between exits 34A and 34B. Follow signs within the park to reach the campground entrance.
