White Mts - Hancock Campground
Open

Open year-round with limited services in winter. Some sites are reservable through Recreation.gov while others are first-come, first-served. The campground is plowed for winter use.

About

Hancock Campground occupies a forested setting at the western gateway to the Kancamagus Highway, one of New England's most celebrated scenic byways. The 56 sites spread through wooded loops provide easy access to Lincoln's amenities while remaining steps away from backcountry trailheads. The nearby Lincoln Woods Visitor Center marks the start of several routes into the Pemigewasset Wilderness, including trails to Franconia Falls and the Thoreau Falls area. The campground operates year-round, though services are limited during winter months when it becomes one of the few plowed camping options in the White Mountain National Forest. Sites accommodate both tents and smaller RVs, with walk-in tent-only sites available for those seeking more seclusion. Facilities include flush toilets and potable drinking water from faucets throughout the campground.

Directions

From I-93, take Exit 32 and head east on Kancamagus Highway (Route 112). The campground is located 5 miles east of Lincoln, NH on the right side of the highway.
