About
Haven Lake Campground is a small, primitive campground tucked into the scenic Lakes Basin Recreation Area of Plumas National Forest at 6,700 feet elevation. With just 4 campsites, it offers a quiet, uncrowded camping experience surrounded by breathtaking Sierra scenery and easy access to over 20 alpine lakes.
Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and food locker. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Access to some campsites requires navigating rough unpaved roads, making this campground best suited for tent camping or smaller vehicles rather than large RVs.
The Lakes Basin area is a popular destination for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian activities. The campground operates seasonally from late May through November, weather permitting, and enforces a 14-day maximum stay with limits of 6 people and 2 vehicles per site.
Directions
