Beaver Lake State Park provides an escape from everyday life in a secluded outdoor setting on the west shore of Beaver Lake in Logan County, North Dakota. The park has a colorful history dating back to its dedication in 1932, with a historic cairn commemorating the early settlers who helped establish it. The camping loop, once a horse racing track, now hosts 25 modern campsites with electricity and water hookups, all configured as pull-through sites. Additional primitive campsites and three group campsites are also available. Three seasonal camping cabins are situated along the lake's edge near the primitive campground, offering air conditioning, heat, small refrigerators, and microwaves. The park features over 5 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking through rolling prairie, woodlands, and along the lake shoreline. Summer activities include swimming at the beach, boating, water skiing, kayaking, and fishing. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, a boat ramp, kayak launch, two picnic shelters with electricity, and a dump station. The park is shaded by American elm and green ash trees, providing habitat for diverse bird species including kingbirds, meadowlarks, and woodpeckers.

Directions

Beaver Lake State Park is located 17 miles southeast of Napoleon, North Dakota. From Napoleon, take ND-3 south for approximately 11 miles, then turn east onto 70th St SE and continue for about 6 miles to reach the park entrance.
