This fish cleaning station is located adjacent to the Main Boat Ramp parking lot.  During the camping season, the station has running water, electric plug-ins, overhead lights and fish cans.  During the winter months it is a Pack-It-In/ Pack-It-Out cleaning station.

Closed — Closed for the season. The campground typically operates from May through September, with peak season from mid-May to early September. A partial campground closure is in effect for the 2025 season. All sites are 100% reservable through Recreation.gov with zero-day booking window.

About

Beaver Creek Recreation Area sits on the north shore of Beaver Bay on Lake Oahe, 16 miles west of Linton. The campground features 61 reservable sites, with 45 offering 30-amp electric hookups and 16 non-electric sites. Lake Oahe is the fourth largest reservoir by water volume in the United States, stretching 231 miles from Pierre, South Dakota to Bismarck, North Dakota with 2,250 miles of shoreline. The recreation area provides a three-lane boat ramp with two docks, plus an additional single-lane ramp on the southeast side of the bay. A fish cleaning station with seasonal water and electricity is located near the boat ramp. Anglers target walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch in the reservoir. Water enthusiasts enjoy boating, water skiing, and swimming. The campground features playgrounds and a nature trail for families, along with a group day-use picnic shelter with electric hookups. The surrounding mixed grass prairie and Lake Oahe shoreline offer hunting opportunities for deer, pronghorn, grouse, dove, pheasant, partridge, squirrel, rabbit, and waterfowl. The campground operates seasonally from May through September, with peak season typically running from mid-May through early September. A partial campground closure is in effect for the 2025 season due to temporary adjustments in Army Corps of Engineers operations.

Directions

From Bismarck, take University Drive south (becomes ND Highway 1804) and continue south for approximately 50 miles to the intersection with ND Highway 13. Turn right and continue on ND Highway 1804 south for approximately 3 miles. Recreation area is on the right. From Linton, travel 13 miles west on ND Highway 13 to the junction with ND Highway 1804, then travel west another 3 miles.

Beaver Creek Recreation Area has a 3 lane boat ramp with 2 docks in the campground for quick easy access on and off of Lake Oahe.
There is a life jacket loaner station located near the boat ramp in the campground.  This has 5 life jackets ranging in size from infant though youth (90 lbs) for the public to use if they need an extra life jacket while out on the water.
