About

Aikens Creek West Campground is a primitive, no-fee campground located in Six Rivers National Forest near the confluence of Aikens Creek and the Klamath River in Humboldt County, California. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. A 14-day stay limit applies. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic tables and fire rings at each site, with trailer spaces accommodating rigs up to 35 feet. However, this is a true primitive camping experience with no potable water, no restrooms, and no garbage service. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. A river access trail leads to the Klamath River near the Aikens Creek/Bluff Creek recreational area, offering fishing and riverside recreation opportunities. Access dates may vary due to wet weather conditions, particularly during winter months when forest roads can become impassable.
