Hidden Springs Campground is situated on a forested hillside in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, approximately 5 miles south of the visitor center along the scenic Avenue of the Giants, just south of Myers Flat. With 154 campsites spread throughout a mixed forest of redwoods and other trees, the campground offers excellent privacy between sites despite its size. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, with flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers available in the campground. The South Fork of the Eel River is a short walk from the campground, providing opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating during the summer months. The campground's location along the Avenue of the Giants provides convenient access to the park's famous old-growth redwood groves and numerous hiking trails. The setting combines the peaceful atmosphere of towering redwoods with easy access to both natural attractions and nearby amenities. This is a developed family campground that operates seasonally, typically from Memorial Day through the end of September. There are no RV hookups or dump stations at this campground. Campsites accommodate one vehicle and one legally towed vehicle, with additional vehicles charged a fee. The campground is located in bear country, so proper food storage is required.
