For the Winter Storm Watch, from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

High Wind Warning issued December 29 at 8:55AM EST until December 30 at 4:00PM EST by NWS State College PA

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. * WHERE...Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Northern Centre, and Somerset Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds starting this morning will continue through Tuesday evening. The strongest winds will be Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Strong winds will also be accompanied by upslope snow showers with up to two inches of snow possible at higher elevations.
