Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 825 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - A Flood Watch remains in effect through 5 AM Wednesday. Additional heavy rainfall is possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Youghiogheny River near Confluence affecting Somerset County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youghiogheny River near Confluence. * WHEN...From this morning to this evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The right bank of the river overflows downstream of confluence and about 1/4 mile upstream from the gaging station. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 12.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall through Tuesday night is expected to average from 1.0 to 1.5 inches across the watch area. However, there is the potential for isolated locations to receive an additional 2 to 3 inches.
