* WHAT...Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected. * WHERE...South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast. * WHEN...From 11 PM PDT Saturday evening through 11 AM PDT Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and sweep them into the ocean. The waves can also move logs or other objects which could crush or trap anyone caught underneath. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A short period northwest swell and a building long period northwest swell may combine their energy to produce dangerous surges. For the Hazardous Seas Warning, north winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt and very steep and hazardous seas 9 to 11 ft at 6 to 7 seconds expected. * WHERE...For the Hazardous Seas Warnings, waters south of Ophir and beyond 3 nm from shore. For the Small Craft Advisory, all other waters south of Cape Blanco. * WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, until 11 PM PDT this evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or damage vessels.
