About
Lake Ahquabi State Park is a 770-acre park centered around a 115-acre lake built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The campground provides 96 sites along the lakeshore with a mix of full hookup and electric-only options. Full hookup sites (52 available) include water, sewer, and 20/30/50 amp electric service, while 41 additional sites offer electric-only connections. Pull-through sites accommodate rigs up to 85 feet. Every campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Modern restrooms with ADA accessibility, showers, and a dump station serve the campground. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. The park accepts reservations March through November and closes December through February. Beyond camping, Lake Ahquabi offers excellent fishing opportunities including panfish, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. Two boat ramps provide lake access, and an enclosed universally accessible fishing pier along with 13 fishing jetties serve anglers. A swimming beach, day-use lodge, picnic shelters, and a historic CCC-era stone lodge for events round out the amenities.
