About
Clark Peak Corrals Dispersed Camping is the final dispersed camping area along the Swift Trail corridor, located at approximately 9,000 feet elevation in the mixed-conifer forests of the Pinaleño Mountains within the Coronado National Forest. The site features two established dispersed campsites and public horse corrals, making it a popular destination for equestrians looking to access the surrounding trail system including the Clark Peak Trail #301. This is a primitive dispersed camping area with no developed amenities. There is no potable water, no restrooms, and no trash service. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, bringing all water and packing out all waste. The drive to reach this site is 34.5 miles from the Swift Trail Junction at AZ 366 and US 191. Vehicles and trailers longer than 22 feet are not recommended due to difficult switchbacks along the route.
Directions
From Swift Trail Junction at the intersection of AZ 366 (Swift Trail) and US 191, travel 34.5 miles on the Swift Trail. The campground is at the end of National Forest Service Road 803 beyond the Swift Trail.
