The North Loop of the Wambaw Cycle Trail on the Francis Marion National Forest will temporarily close for a 453-acre prescribed fire in Berkeley County off Halfway Creek Rd and FS 154 Victor Lincoln Rd with smoke expected towards Hwy 45.

Leeds Rifle Range on the Enoree Ranger District will be temporarily closed Monday May 18, 2026, from 0800 to 1200. This closure will allow for road maintenance to be done along FS Road 307. Leeds will reopen after road work is complete.

Buck Hall Recreation Area
Buck Hall Recreation Area will soon be undergoing a major renovation. During construction, which is anticipated to start in Summer of 2026, the entire recreation area will be closed for public and contractor safety. Pending available funding, the renovation will affect the following amenities: campground, dump station, day use area, boat ramp and floating docks, roadways, infrastructure systems (electrical, water and wastewater), and the seawall.
