Special Weather Statement issued January 19 at 12:32PM EST by NWS Binghamton NY

12:32 PM — 3:30 PM

Scattered snow squalls will move into the region early this afternoon. Brief periods of moderate to heavy snow will be possible and will likely lead to snow-covered roads. Combined with gusty winds, the visibility will drop to a mile or less. Snow squalls can make travel dangerous very quickly. If caught in a snow squall, slow down and allow plenty of stopping distance.
