Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities likely drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Occasional blizzard conditions are likely to occur. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible, with up to 3 inches per hour possible through Tuesday morning. Widespread blowing snow will create whiteout conditions and occasional blizzard conditions.

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will create blowing and drifting snow and whiteout conditions. * WHERE...Wayne and Northern Cayuga Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected making travel very difficult at times Monday night into Tuesday. The hazardous conditions from lake effect snow will continue to impact travel through the week.
