Brochure InfoThe Hailstone Recreation Area is the premier development of Jordanelle State Park, and is designed to accommodate active recreational pursuits. Hailstone is a large developed campground and day-use area on the west side of the reservoir, and is a favorite location of boaters and RV campers. Many of our campsites offer water and electric hook-ups. The Event Center is located near the park entrance. An extra vehicle in your site, space permitting, will be charged an additional fee per night. Park Office hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. seven days a week during summer. 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Mon - Fri during winter months. Campgrounds are closed in the winter. Weekend hours vary. All tents must be on tent pads. Any commercial activity including sale of boats, boat rentals, or carrying passengers for profit is prohibited without the written permission of the park manager. Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $8 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than four days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $10.25 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.
