Brochure InfoThe Hailstone Recreation Area is the premier development of Jordanelle State Park, and is designed to accommodate active recreational pursuits. Hailstone is a large developed campground and day-use area on the west side of the reservoir, and is a favorite location of boaters and RV campers. Many of our campsites offer water and electric hook-ups. The Event Center is located near the park entrance. Perched on a hill with a spectabular sweeping view of the reservoir, it's the perfect venue for weddings, reunions and meetings!Brochure Info - OrientationLocated on the west shore, Hailstone serves as Jordanelle State Park's main recreational facility and park headquarters. This site has become one of the most heavily visited recreational areas in the state due to its location and facilities. Hailstone serves thousands of visitors each year from boaters and campers, to fishermen and special events.Brochure Info - RecreationThe waters of Jordanelle provide recreational opportunities for many people, including boaters, waterskiers, fishermen, jet skiers, and swimmers. The reservoir is also an important resting area for many migratory waterfowl and other birds. The open, rolling land serves as habitat for many plant and animal species. An extra vehicle in your site, space permitting, will be charged an additional fee per night. Park Office hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. seven days a week during summer. 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Mon - Fri during winter months. Campgrounds are closed in the winter. Weekend hours vary. All tents must be on tent pads. Any commercial activity including sale of boats, boat rentals, or carrying passengers for profit is prohibited without the written permission of the park manager. Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom Salt Lake: Take Interstate 80 east to the Heber Junction, follow south on Highway 40 to the Mayflower Exit. Exit number 8 From Provo: Take Provo Canyon (Hwy 189) to Highway 40 to Mayflower Exit.Other Phone Numbersstateparks.utah.govFee Cancellation DescCancellations are accepted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week or by calling Reserve America Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Reserve America is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.) Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $8 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than four days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $10.25 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.
