E and F loops are first-come, first-served November 1 - April 30. Key InfoDec 30, 2022: Nehalem Bay State Park has been impacted by recent storms in the area. Please be aware of additional site closures, reduced services, and hazards posed by downed trees. Site closures include sites in horse camp, E and F loops; these sites may be unavailable to both reservations and first-come, first served camping E loop restroom and D loop have no water. The nearest open restroom to D loop is located in F loop Service levels in restroom facilities, garbage collection and beach access obstruction removal are reduced Downed trees can be under tension, could roll easily if climbed over, or may unexpectedly block access to a recreational feature. California sea lions infected with Leptospirosis are appearing on Oregon beaches. The contagious bacterial infection, and many others, are transmittable to humans and dogs. Please stay away from stranded marine mammals. For more information, go to Sea Lions with Leptospirosis. Same-day reservations are available at this park. Reservations for campsites can be made anytime (exception: ADA site reservations can be booked only by calling (800)452-5687) or by registering at the park ranger entry station. Online yurt reservations will be allowed up until 9 p.m. of arrival day. Please do not occupy a site without registering. If you reserve a yurt, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Extra Vehicles: Each campsite fee includes parking for one vehicle. Campers may have a maximum of two vehicles parked at a site; extra vehicle is $7 per night. A third vehicle may park in a designated parking area away from the campsite for the nightly extra vehicle fee; additional vehicles will not be allowed in the park overnight. Boat docks are removed October-May to protect them from winter storm damage Drones are not allowed to protect nesting shorebirds and for the safety of visitors using the airport camp and flying planes. Seasonal Beach Restrictions March 15 - Sep. 15 Beach restrictions in place south of the main park day-use area during western snowy plover nesting season. Foot and equestrian traffic permitted on wet sand only; all other recreation is prohibited. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
