About

Fourbit Ford Campground is a small, secluded campground situated along Fourbit Creek in a pine-dominated forest setting, approximately one mile off Butte Falls Highway. With only 7 campsites, this quiet retreat offers a peaceful escape for campers seeking solitude. The campground sits on the historic site of the Old Military Road, the original supply route for Fort Klamath, adding a touch of historical significance to the natural beauty. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic tables and fire pits at each site, along with vault toilets and garbage disposal. Drinking water is not available at Fourbit Ford itself but can be accessed at the adjacent Whiskey Springs Campground. A campground host stationed at Whiskey Springs provides oversight for both facilities. Firewood is available for purchase at Whiskey Springs. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the Mt. McLoughlin Trail #3716. Nearby attractions include Willow Lake, offering 927 acres of water recreation including swimming, fishing, camping, and boating, as well as Fish Lake. The remote location and light usage make this an ideal base camp for exploring the High Cascades region of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.
