About

Kelly Flats Campground is located adjacent to Colorado Highway 14 and the Cache La Poudre River in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of Roosevelt National Forest. At 6,600 feet elevation, the campground occupies an open conifer forest setting with diverse riparian vegetation along the river. The 29 sites include 25 standard sites and four walk-in tent sites, all operating on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Every campsite is equipped with a tent pad, fire grate, picnic table, and bear locker. Potable water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets serve the campground. Parking spurs range from 15 to 65 feet, accommodating RVs and trailers that can fit within these lengths. Driving or parking off-road is not permitted, and tents must fit on the provided pads. Each site holds a maximum of eight people. Stream fishing is the primary draw here, with the Cache La Poudre River flowing through the campground. This is a heavily-used campground that typically fills by Thursday afternoon during peak summer months. Dogs are allowed on hand-held leash.
