Big Pine Canyon Recreation Area has two group campgrounds, Clyde Glacier Group Site and Palisade Glacier Group Site. Activities include fishing in the creek and nearby lakes, and climbing the steep, glacier-carved canyon walls. The North and South Fork Trails lead to Big Pine Lakes and Palisade Glacier, the largest glacier. Facilities include campfire rings and grills.
