The road up to the picnic area and picnic area may be temporarily closed. Please be careful if going there. Please use caution when hiking near the closed areas. Please report any trees that you find down, and do not climb over or under fallen trees

CCC Camp Picnic Pavilions Closed

The pavilions in the CCC Camp Picnic Area are closed for the immediate future for restoration work.

Pinic Road and Picnic Area Closed

Due to work being done on the road, the road up to the picnic area and the picnic area will be closed until Wednesday, July 16th. Please be cautious and alert while walking on the trails.

Winter Weather Closure

Fort Necessity National Battlefield has updated to a full closure for Tuesday, January 16, 2024, due to winter weather conditions.

Seasonal Closures

Jumonville Glen, Mount Washington Tavern and the Picnic Area have closed for the season. They will reopen on May 1, 2025!

The Visitor Center is closing at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2025, due to winter weather conditions.

The Visitor Center is operating on a two-hour weather delay on Monday, February 17, 2025, due to winter weather conditions. The Visitor Center will open at 11:00 a.m.

Mount Washington Tavern Road Closure

The park road leading up to Mount Washington Tavern parking lot and tavern will be partially or completely closed during portions of Monday, July 14th, due to the installation of a new gate. The crew will try to keep one lane open.
