Northern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey... * Until 100 PM EDT. * At 849 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. * Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Newton, Blairstown, Franklin, Ogdensburg, Hope, Andover, Greendell, Allamuchy-Panther Valley, Great Meadows-Vienna, Lake Mohawk, Columbia and Portland. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will increase today into tonight, with the most widespread activity occurring this afternoon and this evening. Some heavy showers and thunderstorms will produce torrential rainfall, with 2 to 3 inches of rain per hour possible.
