* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Maryland, including the following areas, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset and Wicomico. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread this evening through tonight and early Wednesday morning ahead of a slow moving cold front. This front is expected to stall across the region Wednesday with additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected Wednesday afternoon. At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Westover to 6 miles south of Lawsonia to 13 miles southwest of Tangier. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Pocomoke City, West Pocomoke, and Marion Station around 530 PM EDT. Snow Hill, Onancock, Parksley, and Onley around 540 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Horntown, Hallwood, Harborton, Melfa, Mappsville, Cokesbury, Goodwill, Greenbackville, Kingston, and Saxis.
