Baltimore Area Traffic Advisory

Traffic in the Baltimore area has increased considerably in recent months due to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge which connected the Baltimore beltway. Please check the latest traffic conditions to plan your travel accordingly.

Ridgley Family Cemetery Temporary Closure

The Ridgley Family Cemetery is currently closed due to headstone damage caused by recent storms. To prevent further damage and any possible risks to visitors, the cemetery will remain closed until the monument can be stabilized.

Overseer's House and Dovecote Restrooms Temporarily Closed

Due to power outages related to building maintenance, the Overseer's House (Farmhouse) and the restrooms inside the dovecote are currently closed. The Quarters of the Enslaved, dairy and grounds are open. The mansion side of the park is unaffected.

Extreme Heat Warning issued for 6/23 and 6/24

Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 110 expected. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. More information available under Hazardous Weather Conditions on our Alerts page.

Air Quality Alert issued February 9 at 3:30PM EST by NWS State College PA

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert on Tuesday for the Susquehanna Valley. A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
