* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin and Virginia, including the following counties, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania. * WHEN...Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A slow moving cold front combined with an upper level disturbance will bring widespread heavy rain to the region. Road and Trail Closures due to Tree Work September 2 - 12
From September 2 - 12, temporary road and trail closures will occur as crews remove hazard trees and mulch fallen trees. Park visitors should respect all closed work areas. Work will only occur Monday - Friday.
