Localized snow accumulations within lake effect bands of 6 to 12 inches for areas mainly north of Old Forge. * WHERE...Northern Herkimer County. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow bands will mainly affect areas from around the Route 28 corridor north. The heaviest amounts are expected to be across far northern parts of the county.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds will cause periods of very low visibility.

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations 2 to 4 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph creating blowing and drifting snow and at times white out conditions. * WHERE...Greatest snow amounts will be found near Watertown and Fort Drum areas and also southward to across the Tug Hill region. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible at times within lake effect snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday through Wednesday commutes. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect snowband oscillation. Snowfall rates up to 4 inches per hour at times for the Tug Hill region Monday night through Tuesday night. Wind chill values zero to 10 below zero Monday night through Tuesday night.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Northern Oneida County. * WHEN...From 1 PM Monday to 1 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Any southward wobble of Lake Effect Snow bands could lead to increased snowfall totals with future forecast updates. A sharp gradient in snowfall is expected with little snow accumulation south of Camden.
