At 631 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18 miles south of Grand Junction, moving southwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Mesa County. This includes Colorado 141 between mile markers 131 and 143.
