The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM MDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area. * TIMING...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM MDT this evening. * WINDS...West 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 14 percent. * IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning.
WNP Bookstore Closed 9/3
The bookstore at the visitor center will be closed all day on Wednesday Sept 3 for inventory. The visitor center will remain open from 9-5. The bookstore will be open again on Thursday Sept 4 at 9am. Online shopping is available at: https://store.wnpa.org
Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed inside the visitor center at Aztec Ruins, nor are they allowed on the archaeological trail through Aztec West. Pets are welcome in the parking lot, the picnic area, and along the Old Spanish Trail. Service animals are the exception.
