Saint-Gaudens NHP is cashless
Cash payments at Saint-Gaudens NHP are not accepted as a method of payment for entry passes. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
Orientation Film Unavailable
The park auditorium is closed on June 1, 2023 and screenings of the orientation film temporarily suspended. Park staff can assist visitors in streaming the film on personal smartphones (standard data rates apply).
Air Quality Alert from Wildfire Smoke
Unhealthy air quality predicted for 7/1 and 7/2. Even healthy individuals should consider limiting strenuous or prolonged outdoor activities. Children, older adults, and anyone with lung diseases may be particularly sensitive to wildfire smoke.
High Wind Warning - Caution Advised on Park Trails
Thunderstorms and high winds are forecast beginning the afternoon of July 13. Rain saturated ground increases the risk of falling trees during high wind events. Visitors are advised to avoid traveling on park trails during windy conditions.
Certain Passes Temporarily Out of Stock
Annual ($80) and Senior Annual ($20) interagency passes are not available for sale at this time.
Construction in Main Parking Lot
Available parking spaces will be limited in main lot. Follow signs to overflow or accessible parking areas if necessary. Please check in at the kiosk or visitor center when arriving between 9am and 4pm.
Seasonal Closures
Park grounds are open during daylight hours, but park buildings are closed until Memorial Day weekend. Walkways, trails, and grounds are not currently maintained for public use and may be icy, snow-covered, or uneven. Restrooms are not available.
Seasonal closure of certain areas to prevent poaching
The floodplain forest between the Connecticut River and NH Route 12A, north of the Blow-Me-Down Brook and forested areas on either side of Saint-Gaudens Road are closed to prevent damage from fiddlehead poaching during the months of April and May.
Adjusted Programming for Thursday, 10/31
Opening of the historic home (Aspet) will be delayed by one hour on Thursday, October 31. Aspet will be open to visitors from 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 3:45pm. Additionally, the park orientation film will be unavailable from 9am to 11am.
Adams Memorial temporarily not on view.
A protective structure currently covers this outdoor sculpture as preservation efforts proceed in the surrounding landscape. The Shaw/54th Regiment Memorial, Farragut Memorial, and Standing Lincoln are on view during daylight hours.

Ravine Trail closed for repairs
The Ravine Trail is closed between July 7 and July 11 for necessary maintenance. The Blow-Me-Down Trail remains open during daylight hours.

...Please check with state and local authorities regarding guidelines for allowed activities... * The warm air temperatures today in the upper 60s to lower 70s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the cold water temperatures which are currently only in the 40s and 50s across Lake Champlain and in the regions smaller lakes and rivers. * The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. According to the US Coast Guard, when the water temperatures are below 50 degrees, the chance of immediate incapacitation due to cold shock is extremely high. Anyone on small boats, canoes or kayaks should plan accordingly if recreating this weekend and use extreme caution to avoid this threat. Paddle smart from the start and always wear your life jacket!
Sunday Parking
Cars may be directed to park in the Overflow/RV Lot between 12:30pm and 4:30pm on Sundays in July and August. Parking for buses and large RVs may be limited or unavailable during this period. Accessible parking is located near the visitor center.
8/24 Concert Postposed
There will not be a concert on Sunday, August 24. The Villalobos Brothers will instead perform on Sunday, August 31.
Star Party Cancelled
The astronomy event scheduled for Saturday, September 6 is cancelled due to forecasted rain and thunderstorms.

* The warm air temperatures this weekend in the mid 60s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the cold water temperatures which are currently only in the mid 50s across Sebago Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee, and in the mid 50s in the regions smaller lakes and rivers. * The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. When the water temperature is below 60 degrees, the average submerged person could loose dexterity within minutes and be unable to accomplish simple tasks. Anyone on small boats, canoes, or kayaks should plan accordingly if recreating this weekend and use extreme caution to avoid this threat. Paddle smart from the start and always wear your life jacket! * Generally light and variable winds shift to southerly today. Winds will be breezy this afternoon with some gusts up to 25 mph. If boating on large bodies of water, these strong winds can increase the likelihood of overturning your boat, canoe, or kayak due to increased wave heights.
