Visitor Center Hours

During the winter, the visitor center is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm. Please email us for park information at hafo_information@nps.gov

Use Caution with "Fossil Beds Information" Signs

The new visitor center is located at 17970 US Hwy 30, about one mile north of downtown Hagerman and the old visitor center. Highway signs are not up-to-date.

For the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 9 AM MDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
