...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois...Indiana... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall to start the week will bring minor lowland river flooding to Mount Carmel on the Wabash River as water routes downstream from the White River. More rounds of rainfall going into and through the holiday weekend could make the flooding last longer and bring a higher crest. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel. * WHEN...From late tonight to Friday, May 29. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River is bankfull in all locations. All oil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units on substructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agricultural losses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higher ground. City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in year round. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Friday /9:45 AM CDT Friday/ the stage was 18.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 20.4 feet early Monday afternoon.
