* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of northwest New Mexico, including the following areas, Chuska Mountains and Northwest Plateau. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Storms with heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will move off to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph this afternoon. Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed inside the visitor center at Aztec Ruins, nor are they allowed on the archaeological trail through Aztec West. Pets are welcome in the parking lot, the picnic area, and along the Old Spanish Trail. Service animals are the exception.

WNP Bookstore Closed 9/4

The bookstore at the visitor center will be closed all day on Thursday, Sept 4 for inventory. The visitor center will remain open from 9-5. The bookstore will be open again on Friday, Sept 5 at 9am. Online shopping is available at: https://store.wnpa.org
