Veterans Day Closure

The Memorial Visitor Center will be closed Monday, November 11, 2019, in observance of Veterans Day. The park grounds, however, will remain open so that visitors can enjoy the park trails, visit the pioneer cemetery, and view the farm.

Thanksgiving Day Closure

The Memorial Visitor Center will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2019 for Thanksgiving Day. The park grounds, however, will remain open so that visitors can enjoy the park trails, visit the pioneer cemetery, and view the farm site.

Memorial Visitor Center is temporarily closed as of March 18, 2020

Following guidance from the CDC and recommendations from state and local public health in consultation with NPS Public Health Service officers, the Memorial Visitor Center is temporarily closed. Updates will be posted to the park website and social media.

Park Grounds are Open - Memorial Visitor Center is Partially Closed Due To COVID-19

Park information is available outside Memorial Visitor Center and at North Parking Lot. Restrooms open at east entrance of Visitor Center daily 8 am - 2 pm. Comfort stations open dawn to dusk at North Parking Lot by Farm.

Allee Trail Construction until April 2021

North side of Memorial Visitor Center parking lot is closed. Trail closed from the parking lot to the Pioneer Cemetery. No access to the Trail of Twelve Stones from parking lot. Access to all park trails available at North Parking Lot off of CR300.

COVID-19 Mask Requirement

Consistent with CDC guidance regarding areas of substantial or high transmission, visitors to Lincoln Boyhood, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask inside all park buildings.

Memorial Visitor Center Closed August 14 and 15, 2024

Lincoln Boyhood's Memorial Visitor Center is Closed August 14 and 15, 2024. Trails and parking lots will remain open from sunrise to sunset on these days.

Memorial Visitor Center and Park Trails Closed

Due to hazardous weather conditions, the Memorial Visitor Center and park trails are closed Friday, December 23, 2022.

Lincoln Day

The outdoor event scheduled for Sunday, February 6, 2022 for Lincoln Day is cancelled.

1/5/23: Spencer County Covid Transmission "High"

When Spencer County's COVID Community Level is "high" according to the CDC, masks are required inside of federal buildings at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, regardless of vaccination status, for employees, partners, concessionaires, and visitors.

Memorial Visitor Center Closed and Partial Trail Closures June 30, 2023

The Memorial Visitor Center is closed due to power outage. Vault toilets are available at the picnic pavilion parking lot. Partial trails closure due to storm damage include the Nature Trail and portions of the Trail of Twelve Stones.
