* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following areas, Alleghany NC, Ashe, Surry, Watauga and Wilkes and southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Carroll, Floyd, Grayson and Patrick. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - As the remnants of Isaias move northward into the lower Ohio Valley, periods of rain will continue. Heavier rainfall will continue in short bursts through the day. Watauga County in northwestern North Carolina... Southwestern Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 547 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated light to moderate rainfall. However, flooding is ongoing in the warned area due to between 4 and locally 7 inches of rain that fell since Saturday morning. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Fall Creek, Norris Fork, Flat Branch, Elk Creek, Mill Creek, Dugger Creek, Little Dugger Creek, Laurel Fork, Dutch Creek, Meat Camp Creek, Brushy Fork, Grassy Creek and Left Prong Stony Fork. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... * WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central Surry County in northwestern North Carolina... Southeastern Carroll County in southwestern Virginia... South Central Floyd County in southwestern Virginia... Southwestern Patrick County in southwestern Virginia... * WHEN...Until 715 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water has been observed flowing over a few roadways throughout the night. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 527 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain falling across the Advisory area, with minor flooding of small creeks and streams, as well as low water crossings continuing. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since Saturday evening. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Archies Creek and Ararat River. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
