Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. Comfort stations, showers, laundry facilities, and a dumping station are part of the campground. A protected swimming beach is available when lifeguards are on duty.Brochure Info - Nearby AttractionsNearby recreation areas include Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site; Rockland Lake State Park; Bear Mountain State Park; and Lake Tiorati Beach and Lake Welch Beach, both are swimming facilities in Harriman State Park.Key InfoGeneral Information: Alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, whiskey, or other intoxicating beverages may not be dispensed, sold or possessed with intent to consume. Section 410.1 Article (N1). Random alcohol searches may be conducted during your stay. Campsite occupancy is limited to six (6) persons, including children and infants. Guests and visitors are not permitted. Only registered campers are allowed in the campground. Pets are not permitted in Beaver Pond Campground or Lake Welch. Only one (1) vehicle is permitted at each campsite. Second and third vehicles must be parked in the Additional Vehicle parking area. Third vehicles are subject to an additional fee. Persons under the age of 21 will not be permitted to camp unless accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older who has been issued a permit for that campsite. Children must be supervised at all times. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10PM to 8AM. Generators may only be used from 8AM until 10AM and from 7PM until 9PM. Vehicle stereos and/or amplified music devices are not permitted to be used in the campground at any time. Bicycles are permitted on the campground roadways. All cyclists, regardless of age, must wear a bicycle helmet. Bicycling is not permitted at Lake Welch Beach. Campfires or ground fires are permitted only in the metal fire rings provided at each site. Firewood may be purchased from the Main Office during operating hours. Only one (1) picnic table is provided for each campsite. Do not remove tables from other sites. Please keep your campsite free of litter and place your bagged garbage in the large green dumpsters provided for your use. If you do not bring your trash to the dumpsters upon your departure you will be flagged in the reservation system. If you do not have garbage bags, they can be provided to you at the Main Office upon request. There may be bear activity in this area. Please follow bear habitat guidelines and keep your campsite clean to reduce the risk of bear activity. Additional information on bear activity is available at the park. Reservation check-ins must arrive before 9PM. Arrivals after 9PM will not be accepted and will have to check in the following day. SWIMMING: Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited. Swimming cannot be a guaranteed activity; therefore, we cannot offer refunds on camping stays. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. Swimming is permitted at the campground beach and Lake Welch Beach ONLY when lifeguards are on duty. Swimming in undesignated areas is strictly prohibited. PRE-REGISTRATION: Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER!! 7 days prior to your arrival you can sign into Reserve America and pre-register. IT SAVES TIME when checking in on the day of arrival. LENGTH OF STAY: A camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous nights. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 48 hours before registering again for another site.
